Please familiarize yourself with the FAQ so you'll know a little bit about how we operate.
We do have limits. The FAQ limits each poster to 200 jpg's a day and 20 movie files a day. We also have limits to 50 jpg's a day and 5 movie files per day per person. Not all posters post movie files because of the time it takes them to do so.
Always include the extension of the filename. Most posters use automated search programs to fill requests and they require extensions to be included.
The crc's/csv's contain listings of the files in each set. I recommend you either use the JPEG Sheriff to create a wanted list (available as a function in the program) and cut and paste up to 50 files in your request. It makes it a lot easier for the posters. Also, please list movie files in a separate request. A poster might hesitate posting your JPG fills because they don't have the movies as requested. Always start each request subject line with "Req:" or "Request:" so we'll know it is a request. Starting a request with "Does anybody have" will usually get skipped over. Why? Because most of us have or have access to all the files in the CRC listings and your question is not considered a request.
So, you posted your request properly, and it's been a day and it still hasn't shown up. Please be patient. A lot of times the requests outnumber the posters. So, now your request was only partially posted, that poster must be mad at me....what did I do wrong? Rest assured, we post the full request if it's within the guidelines and some check up to 3 different servers to verify the requests propogate to the servers properly. It could be that your server is not retrieving the files, or with their limited space (mostly ISP's, not all, but most)cannot carry everything. Time to purchase a premium news server. Most posters in the group use 2 to 3 premium news servers.
Please always acknowledge that you have received the files. A message posted to the poster is recommended rather than an Re: message. Also you can let them know if they missed any of your request so the problem may be addressed.
Rest assured, we post verified files in this group and new posters are monitored closely for verification purposes, but please use the tools provided to verify your collection anyway because of possiblities of the cybermonster eating part of your file.
Prior to posting, please familiarize yourself with your posting software. Ensure your files are verified as we don't want bad files recirculated....it's just like having a virus. Bad files spread. We've tried very hard to ensure everything posted is authentic. Ensure they are authorized to be posted in the group.....read the FAQ, it has the info. If it's not listed here, it's not authorized in the group. There's thousands of groups, and the material that is not authorized here, fits in somewhere else.
Only fill requests. Don't just post a bunch of files that aren't requested. If you're not sure, ask.
Any questions...please ask.
